Congratulations to Liam Black (Scotland) and Michael Neto (Portugal) who won 1st place in the War of the Wizards under 18 and over 18 competitions respectively. Both competitions were hotly contested and the quality of performance was very high. Thanks to all the competitors who made the competition into a great event.

MagicFest will present two magic competitions: War of the Wizards for under 18s and Open War of the Wizards; where the best local magicians will compete for honour, glory and £300 in vouchers from magictricks.co.uk.

Competitors will compete in front of an audience and a panel of judges made up of magicians and non magicians, evaluating magical ability, originality and presentation amongst other things. This will be a fantastic opportunity to see some of the best local talent battle it out to be Edinburgh International Magic Festival Magician of the Year.

Winner of the 18+ competition will receive £200 in vouchers and the opportunity to perform at MagicFest 2011. Winner of the Under 18 competition will receive £100 in vouchers and one years mentoring from festival director and pro magician Kevin McMahon.
